Griff knows audiences. Before turning his attention to healthcare marketing, Griff used revolutionary change principles to attract engaged new viewers for television stations and satellite networks.

Griff Potter spent more than 20 years in television news including more than 11 years as an an award-winning News Director. His credits include:

  • WPSD-TV Harrisburg, Paducah, Cape Girardeau, News Director
  • WTMJ-TV Milwaukee Assistant News Director
  • WQAD-TV Rock Island IL, Davenport IA News Director
  • EP and Producer in Nashville, Cincinnati, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Kansas City, and Huntsville.

HIGHLIGHTS
One of Griff’s most successful projects was the re-tooling of ValleyNewsLive at KVLY/KXJB in Fargo. In addition to moving all the station’s newscasts from second place to #1, Griff led the station through the transition to HD and a digital newsroom. The station’s Facebook page fan base doubled and the station website regularly sees a million page views a month.

But leadership in new media is nothing new for Griff. Under Griff’s Direction WQAD.COM won the first ever RTNDA Murrow Award for Small Market Website in 20031.
An early convert to multi-platform journalism, Griff managed award-winning newspaper/television convergence projects between WQAD-TV and the Rock Island Argus2. Also Milwaukee Journal Sentinel/WTMJ-TV.
He led the design team and editorial staff that re-launched WPSDLOCAL6.COM in 2008.
Earlier in his career, Griff was co-creator of “News+Hits+Weather” on VH1 and was an intern on the Howard Stern radio show on WWWW-FM in Detroit .
